So long, 2020! While we hope the year brought you a few good things, we’re pretty sure pandemic, murder hornets, civil unrest, wildfires, and toilet paper shortages weren’t among them.

The past year has really created a lot of cynical thinking. We’re wary of every news item we see now, for fear of more bad news. And while a calendar reset may seem arbitrary to you, there are some actual arguments to be made about how we are entering a renewal stage of life and moving forward.

The winter we are currently in will soon pass, and before we know it, we will be in springtime. There’s a vaccine being rushed into production to protect us from COVID-19. We’re alive and, even if we’re struggling, we might just make it, and make 2021 one of our best years ever.

The thing we rarely think about is how much adversity can teach us about ourselves and our community. When things go wrong, it can teach you how to prepare, and put you in a position to really get the most out of the moment when things go right. We think of preventative maintenance in the same way; the problems for your car are always going to come, but if you are aware of them and dealing with them steadily, you can spare yourself the bigger issues down the road.

We hope the prospect of the new year has you brimming with positivity and we offer you the assurance that your car will be handled throughout the year by trained, certified professionals when you bring it to D&H Enterprises, who will help you with the upkeep if you’re willing to listen to our mechanic’s advice.
