Pacheco might be tiny, but what it lacks in size it makes up in beauty. Nestled in the East Bay Area, the city has a population of under 4,000 people.
Pacheco was laid out in 1857 and named after Salvio Pacheco, grantee of the Rancho Monte del Diablo Mexican land grant. In the early days, the Pacheco held promises of growing into a big city. However, a series of natural disasters prevented this from happening. That’s why the city of Pacheco small and quaint to this day.
